By Aric S. Queen When you’ve spent more than a decade on the road, you get asked some pretty interesting questions. The one query I get most, though, is about packing: what to take, what to leave, where to put it. I’ve taken scads of trips, but every time I get back, I know I could have gone even lighter. Photo source: http://www.kolivas.de/archives/198361 Lefkada's architecture skows a different approach of house building. After the catastrophic 1825 earthquake many changes had to be done in order to prevent possible future damages. For this reason, Lefkada's reconstruction started following the British anti-seismic quidelines. You can see a stoney ground floor, while the firts floor is made from a light wooden construction reinforced with bricks. Usually the overlay is plaster internally and externally. It should be mentioned that the famous stone workers from Epirus had influenced significantly the evolution of architecture in Lefkada.
